Her gaze I thought

Her gaze

I thought we were movie characters in the film “titanic” ,

Your eyes resting upon my chiseled chin without a single sight of facial hair ,or was it you looking at the lips that were pointing towards yours in pursuit of a slight chance to feel human again.

For a second I thought you played Rose and I played Jack,

how I mimicked your slight movement towards me ,

time became still as we moved alike ,as if I was your identical twin only of the opposite sex.

If only I did not blink I wouldn’t have lost the chance to be marvelled by your sparkling eyes that had already drove a dagger of love inside my hopeless mind,

If only I did not stumble from the drowning gaze of Mrs Brown who in a blink of an eye called me by my last name “ Mangate! Stop dreaming , come and receive your punishment for noise making”,

For the first time I received those lashes with delight , in evidence that the hopeless mind had gratefully accepted that a gaze can easily deceive a hopeless romantic like me.

The things we do for love ,

To Mrs Brown “thank you for making me a HERO!”.
